KLINGER Kempchen has appointed Dirk Sunderer as its new Managing Director. With extensive experience in the industrial plant and service sectors and proven leadership skills, he is pursuing ambitious goals for the expansion of the manufacturing site in Oberhausen.
KLINGER Kempchen, a leading supplier of static sealing technology, has appointed Dirk Sunderer as its new Managing Director. He succeeds long-time managing director Klaus Schonebeck, who will in future work with a small team to develop practical solutions for medium-sized companies in the field of sustainability. Sunderer brings more than 20 years of international experience in the industrial equipment and services industry, including proven skills in managing and developing mid-sized companies.
Ambitious plans for KLINGER Kempchen expansion
Sunderer’s goals at KLINGER Kempchen are ambitious. The manufacturing site in Oberhausen is to be expanded to become a key pillar and production facility within the KLINGER Group. In order to increase competitiveness, he is focusing on the continuous automation of manufacturing and sales processes. The focus is always on the customers and their needs. The objective is to expand our engineering service activities. This differentiates us from our competitors.
With his extensive experience, he is well equipped in the areas of strategic development and planning, sales and order processing, production and service.

Sunderer previously served as managing director at Gebrüder Lödige Maschinenbau GmbH, a leading global supplier of machinery and equipment for the chemical and life science industries. He also demonstrated his track record in organizational development and opening up new markets as Managing Director at Yokogawa Deutschland and Uhde Services GmbH.
